The Good ol Team Lloyd Irvin GRIND!

During “the grind,” there is no resting, goofing off, and/or playing patty cake (did I spell that right? LOL)

Team Lloyd Irvin has three different types of “grinds.” The 45min, 60min, & 90min Grind. “The Grind” is basically a FULL round of sparring, with the objective of trying to make your partner quit.

BREAK THEM DOWN!

When the body doesn’t work…it is when you truly train the mind. Work on Mental Toughness!

Mental toughness is doing what is necessary to get the job done. You gotta withstand the pain of grasping for air, pushing past exhaustion during a tough workout, and not quiting! Mental Toughness is not making anyone break you.

What is Mental Toughness

Definition: Mental toughness is having the natural or developed psychological edge that enables you to overcome hardship and to have an advantage over your opponent while remaining determined, focused, confident, resilient, and in control under pressure.
