Lloyd Irvin Spy Cam: Look over Lloyd Irvin's Shoulder In This Blog

Why Is Physical Fitness Important?

Exercises Help Improve Your Strength

You’ll need to incorporate some traditional gym exercises into your routine. Squats and dead lifts are vital to your routine. Clean and press exercises and snatches are important as well. Overhead squats and snatches are good to include. Exercises that incorporate a full body workout but focus on core strength are important to include in your workout. Exercises such as yoke carries, sled drags, and strongman lifts are beneficial. Bodyweight exercises are excellent ways to develop functional strength. These are options like pushups and pull-ups, dips and lunges and even handstand pushups. If these exercises are easy with your body weight, you’ll have the option to add weight.

When you’re looking at exercises and considering them for use in your strength workout, you’ll want to look for exercises that have a heavy focus on developing core strength. You’ll also want to look for exercises that move across two or more joints and exercises that move through more than one plane of motion. Look for exercises that are dynamic and that incorporate elements of balance and coordination. Choose exercises that have a heavy focus on bodyweight. These exercises are generally very effective and safe.

Lloyd Irvin’s Martial Arts Kids 1st Summer Camp Belt Promotion

2010 Summer Camp is still a GO!

The kids come in everyday with 130% energy levels and leave with about 40%! LOL… They all are having fun with the six flag field trips, the pool days, laser tag, and a whole lot more.

The campers are adding some color to their belts! The last time I was up there they were all getting ready for their Warm Up Competition.

What is the Warm Up Competition?
The Camp is divided into different groups… and these groups incorporate dance moves and martial arts for the competition. Super fun to watch! Its real nice to see kids have fun and learn martial arts at the same time.

Check out the Belt Promotion below!

For those of you that don’t know Dustin “Clean” Denes, he is one of the first BTT guys. (Brazilian Top Team) It was real cool seeing pictures of Master Lloyd, Vitor Belfort, Dustin Denes, and a bunch of others all training.

Dustin showed some cool stuff that he uses in his game that everyone can benefit from. Good top passing game, crazy submission setups, and “Jiu-Jitsu the Feet! Its not ballet… heavy heels!” LOL Good stuff…

CHOP CERTIFIED!
